What are 3D texture types?

The main 3D texture types describe different parts of how a material looks under light. Base Color or Albedo controls the visible color. Normal maps add small surface detail without adding geometry. Roughness controls how glossy or matte the surface feels. Metallic defines metal versus non-metal areas. Height or displacement maps add depth information, while Ambient Occlusion adds soft contact shadows in creases. Some workflows also use opacity, emissive, specular, or clearcoat maps. TextureFast focuses on common PBR texture types so artists can generate a complete material set and move it into Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot, or other 3D tools.
